🏠 Nav Structure & What Each Does
⚡ Command Center — Your mission hub. Opens to stage-specific cards: Today's Mission (Needs You Today, after-service flow, weekly check-in), People of Peace overview, Prayer Focus, Big Things Ahead (launch countdown), quick Stories & Wins capture (saves directly to the Stories & Wins tab), and Planter’s Rhythm. The nav simplifies automatically based on your journey stage — tap ⊞ View All Tools at any time to see everything.
👥 People
🕊️ People of Peace — People God has placed on your heart who aren't in your church yet. Add them, pray for them, track conversations, and set a Next Faithful Step. When they attend, tap 🙌 They came! to move them to Guests automatically — their full history travels with them.
👥 Members — Full member list, profiles, baptism & Holy Ghost records, attendance history, and Next Faithful Step tracking
🙋 Visitors / Guests — Guest list with 6-week follow-up timeline badges and quick Log buttons
🤝 Pastoral Care — Your daily care hub. Daily Care (care needs, absences, discipleship watch, faithful step reminders) and History (full contact log)
📖 Studies & Groups — Bible studies, small groups, discipleship classes. Track roster, attendance, and lessons per group.
⛪ Services
✍️ Service Entry — Log any gathering: Sunday, Wednesday, special events. One form for attendance & roll call, guests, baptisms, Holy Ghost infillings, pastoral needs, and highlights. Hit ✅ Submit Service Entry when done.
💧 Baptisms — All baptism records with testimony, share settings, and per-record privacy control
🙌 Attendance — View-only record of all service submissions. Shows stats, trends, and the full log.
📊 Reports
📝 Reports — Prompt Builder: pick report type, tone, and sections → gathers all data → builds a ready-to-paste prompt for Claude.ai. The report type determines the audience and length automatically.
✨ Stories & Wins — The one place for all ministry wins and life-change stories. Two types: Ministry Highlights (a moment God moved) and Life Change Stories (a person’s transformation). Every story has a category, share level, and privacy control. Stories entered quickly in the Command Center save here automatically.
🌱 Church Plants
🌱 Church Planting — My Missions lifecycle (vision → pre-launch → active → released) with launch checklist
🗺️ Next Town Map — District-wide interactive map of all churches, preaching points, plants, and target cities
⚙️ Settings — Journey Stage, App Behavior (dark mode, pastor name, phone), Current Church Settings (main service type, annual goals), planter setup, launch checklist template, custom service types, share-level defaults, data export/import
⚡ Command Center — Stage Cards
The Command Center adapts to where you are in your planting journey:
All stages — Today's Mission (Needs You Today), People of Peace overview, Stories & Wins capture, Prayer Focus
Concept — Mission & Vision Compass, Clarity Compass (5 gates), Prayer & Fasting Focus
Preparing — Launch Readiness Compass (4 lanes: Team · Plan · Support · Admin), milestone drawers
Gathering — Mission Field map link, People of Peace prominence, After Service Flow card
Planting — Big Things Ahead (launch countdown), full attendance + discipleship stats, After Service Flow
Today's Mission items surface automatically from your data — overdue follow-ups, upcoming service prep, people needing care, weekly check-in prompts. They clear as you act on them.
After Service Flow appears after you submit a Service Entry — walks you through the immediate post-service steps: visitor follow-up, pastoral care flags, and story capture.
🗺️ Stage-Aware Navigation
The sidebar simplifies automatically based on your stage (set in Settings → Planter Setup → ✏️ Change Stage).
What each stage shows/hides:
• Just a Calling 🙏 — Services group hidden (no regular services yet). Reports, People, Pastoral Care, Groups, and Church Planting are all visible — you can still log People of Peace and report to donors.
• Getting Ready 🗺️ — Same as above. Services still hidden.
• We're Gathering 🏠 — Services group appears. Full nav minus nothing.
• Actively Planting ⛪ — Full nav, all tools visible.
You're never locked out — tap ⊞ View All Tools in the sidebar at any time to see everything regardless of stage.
How your stage advances:
The app watches your data and suggests when it might be time to move forward. You always confirm — it never changes on its own.
• Just a Calling → Getting Ready: when you've added 3+ People of Peace
• Getting Ready → We're Gathering: when 5+ people have returned at least twice
• We're Gathering → Actively Planting: when you hit 10+ active members, or have logged 4 services within any 28-day stretch
If you dismiss a suggestion, it won't ask again for 7 days. You can also advance manually anytime via ✏️ Change Stage.
Your stage vs. the launch track:
• Your stage — guides what AMH shows you and what to focus on next. You set it manually or confirm when the app suggests it.
• Launch track (Preaching Point → Pre-Launch → Launch → Church Plant) — the progress bar at the top of every tab showing the public path toward launch. It advances automatically based on dates you enter in Settings → Planter Setup. Enter your Plant Date and it jumps to Church Plant. These are separate from each other.
🌱 Next Faithful Step
Every person in the system — Person of Peace, Guest, or Member — can have one active Next Faithful Step: a specific spiritual next step with a due date and type (prayer, conversation, invitation, Bible study, etc.).
• Set it from any Person Profile → 🌱 Where They Are panel → Set Step
• Overdue or upcoming steps surface automatically in Pastoral Care → Daily Care
• Completing a step logs it to their history and clears the active step so you can set the next one
• The progress panel also shows their spiritual milestones (baptism, Holy Ghost) at a glance
✍️ Service Entry Workflow
Works for any gathering type — Sunday morning, Wednesday, special events, house gatherings, etc.
1. Tap the ⊕ speed-dial button (bottom-right corner) → Service Entry, or open it from the sidebar
2. Select your church and service type
3. Open sections you need: Attendance & Roll Call (mark who attended), Visitors, Baptisms, 🔥 Holy Ghost Infillings, Pastoral Care Need, or Highlights
4. For baptisms and Holy Ghost: select the person from the dropdown (member, visitor, or add new) — their record is updated automatically on submit
5. All sections are collapsible — only open what you need for that gathering
6. Tap ✅ Submit Service Entry when done — then use After Service Flow in Command Center to complete post-service steps
🤝 Pastoral Care
Daily Care is your daily care list — it auto-populates from four sources:
• Visitor follow-up steps — based on the 6-week timeline from their visit date
• Uncontacted absences — members who missed a service and haven't been reached
• Overdue prayer check-ins — active prayer requests past their follow-up date
• Manual follow-up tasks from the Follow-ups sub-tab
Items are grouped by urgency: 🔴 Overdue → 🟡 Due Today → 🔵 This Week → ⬜ Future.
Click 📞 Log Call or 💬 Log Text to open the contact modal — it pre-fills the suggested text template. After logging, set the next follow-up date and the item moves forward automatically.
Use ⏸ Snooze 3d to hide an item for 3 days without logging a contact.
💜 Active Care Needs — At the top of Daily Care, add members in ongoing crisis (cancer, hospitalization, family emergency, grief). Set the contact type (call/visit/text) and a next-contact date. Overdue items show in red. Click Log Contact to record the pastoral contact, or ✅ Resolved when the situation is stable.
🕊️ Discipleship Watch — At the bottom of Daily Care, auto-populated list of members who haven't yet been baptized or received the Holy Ghost. Tap any name to navigate to their record. Update milestone status in 👥 Members or 📋 Service Entry → Baptisms.
📋 6-Week Guest Follow-Up Timeline
Every visitor automatically gets an 11-step follow-up plan starting from their visit date. Steps are calls and texts spread over 6 weeks.
• Visitors tab — Each row shows a badge: "Wk 2 · Due in 3d" (blue), "Due today" (yellow), overdue (red), or ✅ All done
• 📋 Log button on each visitor row — opens the contact modal pre-filled with their next step and text template
• 👤 Profile button → shows the full 11-step timeline with ✅/🔴/⬜ status for each step and a Log button per step
• When you log a contact tied to a step, that step is marked complete automatically
• Contact History sub-tab — unified log of all calls and texts for every person
👥 How People Move Through the System
People of Peace Track (PoP → Guest → Member):
Add to People of Peace → pray, build relationship, track conversations & Next Faithful Step → when they attend a gathering, tap 🙌 They came! → they move to Guests automatically with all notes and prayer history preserved → follow-up plan starts → convert to Member when ready.
Service Entry Track (Guest → Member):
Log guest in Service Entry → they appear in Guests with automatic 6-week follow-up tracking → convert to Member when ready.
Group Track (Group → Church):
Add them to a group roster → after they become regular, use "Register as Church Visitor" to bring them into Guests → then convert to Member.
Key rules:
• Promoting a Person of Peace preserves all their prayer notes and contact history
• Removing from a group never deletes the Member or Visitor record
• "Add Existing Visitor" / "Add Church Member" prevents duplicates on group rosters
• Person Profile → 🌱 Where They Are shows milestones (baptism, Holy Ghost) and active Next Faithful Step for any person type
🔒 Privacy / Share Levels
Every record has a share level. Reports filter by this automatically:
Internal — Pastoral staff only. Never in newsletters or public posts.
Supervisor — Monthly supervisor reports.
Newsletter — Safe for donor newsletters.
Public — Safe for social media.
📖 Bible Studies & Groups
Open Studies/Groups → click Open → on any group to enter its detail view.
Inside: Roster (add people, track development stage), Attendance (log sessions), Lessons (log what was taught).
Use "Add Existing Visitor" or "Church Member" to link without duplicates.
🌱 My Missions — Work Status
My Missions helps you track the status of each work you oversee (set in the detail panel → Work Status). This is different from Your Stage, which guides what AMH shows you for the church you are currently working in. Work status values:
🕊️ Preaching Point — Early exploration. A pastor is testing whether an area can sustain a church. District-led only.
🔍 Prospect — Identified opportunity, not yet formally started.
🚀 Pre-Launch — In preparation. Work through the numbered launch checklist (customizable in Settings → Pre-Launch Checklist Template). When all items are done (100%), an ✅ Approve to Launch button appears — click it to record approval date, approver, and notes → moves to Active.
🌱 Active Plant — A launched church. Track adults present, baptisms, attendance goals. When ready to hand off, click 🎉 Release Church → records handoff pastor, release date, approver → moves to Released.
✅ Released — Legacy record preserved with full milestone history, handoff pastor, and lead missionary.
Command Center shows a live Church Planting overview (Active Plants Status, Released Legacy, Works Summary, Impact stats) every time you open it.
🗺️ Next Town Map
Church Planting → Next Town shows a live map of every church, plant, and target in your district.
Next Town uses church type to label what kind of church or work is on the map — this is different from Your Stage, which is about your own journey.
Church Type (set when adding / editing a church):
🕊️ Preaching Point (amber) — District exploring the area. Always district-led. No independent/peer version.
⛪ Established Church (navy) — A fully independent congregation.
🤝 District Plant (teal) — A church plant funded/supported by the district.
Status (click the status badge on any church row to cycle):
✓ Active → ✗ Inactive → ✗ Closed → back to Active.
Inactive churches appear faded on map and list. Closed churches are struck through and nearly invisible.
📊 Population Report — Click "Open →" in the panel to open a sortable table of all cities with population and % Hispanic data. Sort by any column to find the highest-need areas.
§ Section Filter — Filter the panel and map by district section. Define your sections in Settings → District Sections (custom ID, label, color). The filter bar auto-updates when sections change.
📊 City Population — Add/edit city population data using the "+ Add" button in the City Population section. Click any city row to jump the map to that location. Edit (✎) or delete (×) individual entries. Population appears on map popups and in the My Plants / Targets panel list.
Common church types include 🕊️ Preaching Point, 🤝 District Plant, and ⛪ Established Church.
📥 Bulk Import — Advanced (Next Town)
For power users who need to load many churches at once from a district spreadsheet/database. Not needed for regular use.
Use
Import JSON in the Next Town panel to bulk-add churches. The file should be an object with a
churches array (and optionally a
cityData array):
{
"churches": [
{
"name": "Hillside Community",
"pastor": "Pastor Juan",
"phone": "503-555-1234",
"city": "Portland",
"state": "OR",
"district": "Oregon District",
"churchType": "established",
"status": "active",
"language": "English"
},
{
"name": "Eastside Preaching Point",
"city": "Salem",
"state": "OR",
"churchType": "preaching-point",
"status": "active",
"language": "Spanish"
}
],
"cityData": [
{ "city": "Portland", "state": "OR", "totalPop": 652503, "hispanicPop": 42000 },
{ "city": "Salem", "state": "OR", "totalPop": 175535, "hispanicPop": 38000 }
]
}
churchType values:
established ·
preaching-point ·
district-plant
status values:
active (default) ·
inactive ·
closed
If
totalPop/
hispanicPop are on individual church records they will be automatically lifted to the city-level cityData store on import. The separate
cityData array always takes precedence.
🚀 Pre-Launch Checklist Template (Settings)
Settings → Pre-Launch Checklist Template shows the global checklist shared by all church plants.
• Add Item — type a label and save; it is immediately added to every church's checklist (unchecked)
• ↑ ↓ buttons — reorder items; numbering updates in real time across all churches
• Edit — rename a label; the new name syncs to all churches
• ✕ Delete — removes the item from all churches (completion data for that item is lost — confirm before deleting)
The 100% completion threshold that unlocks Approve to Launch is based on this template's count.
🌾 The Field Map
What it is: A live Leaflet map showing every person and Bible study group in your harvest field — color-coded by where they are in their journey. Updated every time you open the tab.
The Field vs. Next Town:
• 🌾 The Field — your personal harvest field: People of Peace, guests, members, and your own Bible study groups. For soul-winning and discipleship.
• 🗺️ Next Town — the district-level church map: established churches, district plants, and preaching points across cities. For church planting strategy.
Pin Colors (people):
🟢 Green — Member (fully connected)
🔵 Blue — Regular Attender / Returning Guest
🟠 Orange — First-Time Guest
⚫ Dark — Person of Peace (not yet attended)
⚪ Gray — Inactive / Archived
Pastoral Alert: Any pin with a red pulse ring 🔴 means that person has a care need or an overdue Next Faithful Step. Open their profile to address it.
Group / Bible Study Markers: House icons (🏠) in dark slate. Click to see group name, address, and a button to open the group in Studies/Groups.
Clusters: When 3+ people live close together, a shaded circle appears indicating a neighborhood cluster — a potential gathering spot. Click a cluster to zoom in and see individual pins.
Filters (top of map): Toggle which stages and types appear. Click ▲ Hide filters / ▼ Filters to collapse the bar. The "Recent" slider shows only people added within a time window (0 = all time).
Geocoding: The app uses the person's street address to place the pin. If only a city or ZIP is on file, the pin is placed at city or ZIP center with a small indicator in the popup ("📍 City-level location" or "📍 ZIP-only location"). Geocoding happens once per session — pins load progressively as addresses are resolved.
Pin missing? If someone doesn't appear on The Field:
1. Check that their address is entered (Members or Visitors edit form → Address fields)
2. Check that Show on The Field is turned ON in their profile edit form
3. Check that their filter category is not toggled off
4. Reopen The Field tab to trigger a fresh geocode
Privacy: Each person's profile has a Show on The Field toggle. Turn it OFF to hide someone from the map (they still appear in all other lists and reports). Groups with no address are never geocoded. Popup windows on The Field never show private notes — only name, stage, and Next Faithful Step.
💾 Backup & Data
apostolicmissionhub.com (web version): All data syncs to your secure cloud account (Supabase). Sign in on any device and your data follows you. Your data is tied to your account — no one else can see it.
Local/offline version: Data is stored in your browser’s localStorage and persists on this device between sessions.
